Genetic counseling

Today it is generally accepted that certain disorders and syndromes like Tourette, hyperactivity, anxiety, specific learning disabilities, bed wetting and many more, bare a certain genetic component. Moreover, in spite of the genetic load of the individual, the environment plays a crucial role in expression of that genetic component.

Putting these facts together implies that by identifying the genetic load of these disorders among parents, focused and knowledgeable attitudes may all alter specific genetic expressions by enforcing or shadowing certain traits. By doing so empowerment of the child’s personality might take its right course.

Novel understanding of the brain’s circuitry and function has lead to better understand the leading factors involved in those disorders and thus further develop a new, scientific, biophysical non-invasive, accurate and reliable method (BDTAK) to diagnose the existence of such disorders as well as the relevant genetic components accurately. The test is being performed autonomously, at the family home setting.

A mature responsible attitude to developing personality needs to respond to these and many additional factors in order to optimize and empower personality growth.

Dr. A. Kessler, writing this page is a psychologist and a neuropsychologist in the “Clinic of Advanced Psychology”, engaged in treating and consulting patients as well as in clinical research, a member of the Israeli Psychological Association, an affiliate member of the APA and a member of the TIC consortium.
